Jeremiah 32:44
Men shall buy fields for money, and subscribe evidences, and seal them, and take witnesses in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, and in the cities of the mountains, and in the cities of the valley, and in the cities of the south: for I will cause their captivity to return, saith the LORD.
After being taken captive, the people will return and again buy fields for money throughout Judah and Benjamin. They will subscribe evidences, seal them, and take witnesses in the land of Benjamin, in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah. The same legal purchase will extend to the cities of the mountains, the cities of the valley, and the cities of the south. These ordinary acts of buying land, sealing documents, and calling witnesses show that the devastated land will once more be inhabited and secure, and their occurrence fulfills the promise to cause the captivity to return.
