Jeremiah 37:21

Then Zedekiah the king commanded that they should commit Jeremiah into the court of the prison, and that they should give him daily a piece of bread out of the bakers’ street, until all the bread in the city were spent. Thus Jeremiah remained in the court of the prison.

After Jeremiah once more warned Zedekiah that Judah would be given into Babylonian power, the king acted on his case. He commanded that the prophet be taken out of the house of Jonathan and placed instead in the court of the prison. There Jeremiah was to be supplied each day with a piece of bread brought from the bakers' street, a provision to continue until every loaf in the city had been consumed.
