Jeremiah 39:10

But Nebuzar-adan the captain of the guard left of the poor of the people, which had nothing, in the land of Judah, and gave them vineyards and fields at the same time.

After Jerusalem fell, Nebuzar-adan the captain of the guard left behind in Judah the poorest of the people, those who owned nothing, and at that same time gave them vineyards and fields to possess. This event belongs to the reign of Zedekiah. It stands within the historical section of Jeremiah, chapters 32 through 45, which recounts the events of the two years before Jerusalem fell.

The verse belongs to Jeremiah 39:1-14, which closes the readings running from Jeremiah 22 through Jeremiah 39. In time order that passage, including this verse, comes after Jeremiah 39:15-18. The prophecies of Jeremiah after chapter 20 are not placed in chronological order, because of the way the rolls were gathered together into one book. Each chapter itself makes its own time clear, and the displacement makes no change in the teaching.
