Jeremiah 39:17
But I will deliver thee in that day, saith the LORD: and thou shalt not be given into the hand of the men of whom thou art afraid. But I will deliver thee in that day, saith the LORD: and thou shalt not be given into the hand of the men of whom thou art afraid.
The verse belongs to the account of Jeremiah's final events in Judah during Zedekiah's reign. In chronological order it comes after Jeremiah 38 and before the account of Jerusalem's fall in Jeremiah 39:1-14. It records the Lord's promise to deliver Ebed-melech when Jerusalem fell, so that he would not be handed over to the men he feared who were threatening him.
