Jeremiah 43:5
But Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces, took all the remnant of Judah, that were returned from all nations, whither they had been driven, to dwell in the land of Judah; But Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces, took all the remnant of Judah, that were returned from all nations, whither they had been driven, to dwell in the land of Judah;
Johanan the son of Kareah and all the captains of the forces took all the remnant of Judah away from the land of Judah. That remnant included those who had returned from all the nations where they had been driven, to dwell in Judah, and they were now removed from it. They did this after Jeremiah warned them not to go to Egypt. In going they ignored the counsel of the Lord and fled there.
The company that went comprised men, women, and children. They journeyed on until they reached Tahpanhes in Egypt.
