Jeremiah 44:13

The warning is directed to the Jews who went to dwell in the land of Egypt, declaring that God would punish them there just as He had punished Jerusalem. That punishment would come by the sword and by the famine and by the pestilence. It belonged to the prediction that their plans in Egypt would fail and that Egypt itself would be defeated. In this way the prophecy concerning Egypt stands among the foretold falls of the powers before Nebuchadnezzar.
