Jeremiah 51:14
The LORD of hosts hath sworn by himself, saying, Surely I will fill thee with men, as with caterpillers; and they shall lift up a shout against thee. The LORD of hosts hath sworn by himself, saying, Surely I will fill thee with men, as with caterpillers; and they shall lift up a shout against thee.
The oath sworn by the Lord of hosts Himself guaranteed that Babylon would fall through an invasion that would pack the city with hostile troops as densely as a swarm of caterpillars. Those invading soldiers would lift a triumphant battle shout against her. This came to pass when the Medes and Persians entered Babylon under Cyrus, and their shouts rose above the cries of the revelers inside.
