Jeremiah 6:15

Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore they shall fall among them that fall: at the time that I visit them they shall be cast down, saith the LORD.

The verse portrays people guilty of abominable acts who feel no shame whatever and have even lost the power to blush. That loss of blushing comes from continuing in wrongdoing while refusing correction and reproof. Therefore at the time of divine visitation they will fall with the fallen and be brought low in judgment.

The warning is aimed at those who betray the divine cause and violate sacred trust. Unless they listen to truth and repent, their blindness will be laid bare. In particular it meets church members who betray sacred trusts by carrying matters to worldly courts, thereby taking the world for judge and placing themselves alongside unbelievers.
