Jeremiah 6 is a last-days chapter in which God calls out a people to keep the whole law, with the Sabbath expressly included. That call makes full obedience, not partial observance, the mark of the people thus gathered. What Christ and the apostles showed by their regard for the Sabbath is thereby confirmed as binding teaching for the present. Together with Isaiah 56 and Isaiah 58, Jeremiah 6 stands as a present call to complete obedience.
