Jeremiah 7:21

Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Put your burnt offerings unto your sacrifices, and eat flesh.

God in this verse dismisses Judah's burnt offerings to the level of common meat, telling them to add them to their other sacrifices and eat the flesh themselves because their refusal to obey had emptied the offerings of any sacred value. The command is irony and exposure, declaring that what was presented as worship was no longer accepted as worship at all. It belongs to a broader warning that ritual service and trust in the temple give no protection to a people who reject God's commands. Outward ceremony cannot cover inward rebellion, and sacred buildings and forms cannot shield disobedience from judgment. What God requires instead is obedience rather than mere offering, justice in dealing, and faithful conduct in life.
