Jeremiah 7:31
And they have built the high places of Tophet, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my heart. The verse concerns the high places of Tophet, located in the valley of the son of Hinnom, where sons and daughters were burned in the fire. It declares that God had not commanded that burning. It declares further that such a practice had never even come into His heart to conceive.
The same words extend beyond that historical abomination to plans and rules imposed by human beings which God has not framed. Such human impositions are not acknowledged by Him. They misrepresent His character.
