Job 11:18
And thou shalt be secure, because there is hope; yea, thou shalt dig about thee, and thou shalt take thy rest in safety. And thou shalt be secure, because there is hope; yea, thou shalt dig about thee, and thou shalt take thy rest in safety.
The promise was addressed to Job as a word of hope in the time when he was weary of life and bowed under affliction. It makes hope in God the very ground of being secure. That security is freedom from fear and the ability to lie down and rest in safety. Hope does this by looking past present misery to a brighter future ahead, for misery will pass and God is able to restore the sufferer. Job himself answered this hope by rising out of despair into trust in God's mercy and saving power. And afterward God blessed him abundantly.
