Job 17:10

But as for you all, do ye return, and come now: for I cannot find one wise man among you.

The verse belongs to Job's reply to Eliphaz and his companions. In that reply he maintains his innocence and expresses a desire for death. He tells his friends to return and try again, challenging them to resume the discussion, because he finds no wise man or wise counsel among them. Their general claims about suffering may be true in themselves, but they misapply them to Job, since their own wisdom and observation cannot explain the suffering of an upright man. Reading the whole book preserves the force and connection of this exchange.
