Yea, the light of the wicked shall be put out, and the spark of his fire shall not shine.
The light of the wicked shall be extinguished and its spark shall give no more shining. Those who persist in wickedness will come to their end in ignominious darkness and shame. By contrast, the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. This is a warning that a person's own spiritual light can go out into darkness when he turns away from the truth and refuses the counsel and commandments of God.
