Job 19:7

Behold, I cry out of wrong, but I am not heard: I cry aloud, but there is no judgment.

Job's cry is an anguished protest that wrong is being done to him and a loud call for help. He cries out of that wrong yet is not heard, he cries aloud yet receives no answer and no judgment or justice is done. This anguish comes in the midst of severe affliction, when his friends and family fail to help him. Even in that state he holds fast to his integrity and to faith in God. The cry belongs to his account of deep suffering alongside his confidence that his living Redeemer will ultimately stand upon the earth and that after his body is destroyed he himself will see God.
