Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.
Knowing God, taking His words to heart, and praying to Him brings the fulfillment of this promise, for what is asked is established and light is given to guide the way. Acquaintance with God joined to receiving His words, delighting in Him, and praying to Him establishes a person's plans and brings God's light to guide the ways. Seeking and following God's will opens the way to that same light, making the path clear and revealing what to do.
A pledge made to God is also a decree that can be carried out and established, with light shining upon the way, as when undertaking to build a house for Him. That assurance stands together with paying vows, having prayer heard, and God lifting up and saving the humble.
