By His Spirit God garnished the heavens, adorning them and making them beautiful. He garnished them with the orbs of light. His hand formed or pierced the gliding serpent, so that the heavens and the serpent stand as works under His control and as evidence of His power in nature.
The adorned heavens display His glory and reveal through His works the living God and His power as Creator. By that same Spirit He adorns the soul with meekness and beautifies the meek with salvation, giving an inward adorning that connects finite man with the infinite God and is His own chosen ornament.
