Seeing it is hid from the eyes of all living, and kept close from the fowls of the air.
Wisdom is hidden from the eyes of all living, kept close even from the birds of the air with their far-seeing, high-ranging sight. It cannot be discovered by human searching, sight, or access, nor by worldly inquiry however diligent. It cannot be found or bought through worldly riches or material wealth. It cannot be found by searching the depths of the earth, digging and exploring below for what lies beyond human reach.
It cannot be found by trying to penetrate or probe God's mysteries, pressing into what He has not opened. God alone knows wisdom's way and its place, where it dwells and how it is reached. True wisdom is fearing the Lord, and true understanding is turning away from evil and departing from it. It is found by humbly receiving what God has revealed and living according to His will, rather than striving to uncover what He has hidden.
