Job 28:24

For he looketh to the ends of the earth, and seeth under the whole heaven;

God looks to the ends of the earth and sees under the whole heaven, so nothing in creation lies outside His sight and knowledge. He sees every person's actions and searches the inner life as well, knowing the thoughts, intentions, motives, and moving principles of every heart. He knows beforehand how each person will act under temptation and in every circumstance of life. Wisdom itself belongs to Him, for He knows where it is found and understands its way, and it lies beyond human discovery and cannot be bought with earthly riches. True wisdom for man is to fear the Lord and depart from evil by humbly receiving what God has revealed and living according to His will rather than seeking to penetrate the mysteries of His being.

God's All-Seeing Knowledge

He looks to the ends of the earth and sees under the whole heaven, so that nothing in creation lies beyond His sight and knowledge. His seeing reaches everywhere on earth and throughout all heaven, complete and all-encompassing, surveying the farthest reaches and everything beneath the heavens. In that universal view He knows where wisdom is found and understands its way.

Nothing in human conduct is beyond His view, for He sees every person's actions wherever they are. His sight includes the workings of the human mind, knowing the thoughts, intentions, and motives of every heart. He knows the principles that move people and what governs them inwardly.

From that knowledge of the inward life He knows how people will act under temptation and in every circumstance.

True Wisdom Beyond Human Reach

God sees to the ends of the earth and under the whole heaven, and therefore He knows where wisdom is found and understands its way. Nothing in creation lies outside His knowledge, and wisdom belongs to Him alone. The question of where wisdom is discovered is answered in God Himself, who comprehends its place and path because His sight embraces all things beneath heaven.

Wisdom cannot be uncovered by human searching and cannot be purchased with earthly riches. The mysteries of the divine being lie beyond human discovery, for human knowledge is limited while God's knowledge is unlimited. No amount of investigation can penetrate what God has not revealed, since man's searching cannot find out the depths of divine wisdom.

True wisdom is to fear the Lord and to depart from evil. It is not gained by reaching after hidden things but by reverence for God expressed in turning away from wrong. Wisdom is found by humbly receiving what God has revealed and by living according to His will. Rather than attempting to penetrate the mysteries of His being, man becomes truly wise by accepting God's revelation and ordering life in obedience to it.
