Elihu Speaks Before Job and His Three Friendsby emmanuel_higgins

Job 32:7

I said, Days should speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom.

Age and the experience gathered across many years ought to speak and to bring wisdom and instruction. Days are meant to utter what they have learned, and a multitude of years to teach what is wise. The verse therefore requires humility and a willingness to learn, expressed in respect for the counsel of older people. Whoever rejects such counsel out of self-importance cuts himself off from the benefit that years can teach.
