Job 33:2

Behold, now I have opened my mouth, my tongue hath spoken in my mouth.

The speaker is Elihu, a younger man who steps in after the dispute between Job and his friends closes in chapter 31, confident that his superior wisdom will correct Job. His words follow about the same line as the friends, and no answer is made to him. The saying belongs to the instructive discourses of Elihu in chapters 32 to 36, distinct from God's speaking to Job in chapters 38 to 41. It lies in the section containing Elihu's speeches spanning chapters 32 to 37.
