Job 34:37

For he addeth rebellion unto his sin, he clappeth his hands among us, and multiplieth his words against God.

Job 34:37 falls within Elihu's discourses in chapters 32-36, which come just before God speaks to Job in chapters 38-41. It belongs to Elihu's argument and reproof to Job, which spans chapters 32-37 and forms the third of the five parts of the book. It is connected with Job's persistent self-justification, which was provoked by his friends' false accusations.
