Job 36:3

I will fetch my knowledge from afar, and will ascribe righteousness to my Maker.

The saying stands within the long portion of Job that holds Elihu's argument and reproof addressed to Job in chapters 32 through 37. More narrowly, it comes in Elihu's continuing speech that runs through chapters 34 to 37. In that argument Elihu labors to convince Job that Job himself is not so very great, while God is everything. To this plea Job makes no answer, and no comment whatever is given upon it.
