Job 36:4

For truly my words shall not be false: he that is perfect in knowledge is with thee.

Job 36:4 belongs to Elihu's argument and reproof addressed to Job. That argument spans chapters 32-37 and forms the third of the book's five parts, coming after the colloquies between Job and his three friends on the cause and object of human suffering and before the address of God with Job's confession and penitence. In it Elihu tries to convince Job that Job himself is not so very great, while God is everything.

It is spoken while Job is still defending himself, conscious that he has committed no open sins against God, and earnest and anxious for God to manifest Himself to him. Elihu's discourse is admirable but does little to help Job. To Elihu's plea Job makes no answer, and no comment whatever is given upon it.
