Job 37:16

Dost thou know the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him which is perfect in knowledge?

The balancing of the clouds and the mysteries of the visible universe are wondrous works of God, who is perfect in knowledge. The balancing of the clouds in particular is one of those wondrous works, displaying a knowledge that is perfect. To be perfect in knowledge is to be perfect in wisdom, using and applying knowledge in the best way. The order, operations, and harmony of nature reveal infinite wisdom and power and teach the laws of creation.

These mysteries open a field for growing in knowledge of the Creator's wisdom and power and love. In Eden this order of nature, including the clouds, was open to Adam and Eve for study. There it gave them instruction and delight, teaching them about divine wisdom and power through the order and operations set before them. The mysteries invite ongoing human study.

The wisdom and power thus displayed in nature are beyond human understanding. The wonders call people to stop and consider the works of God in awe and reverence. Recognizing His knowledge and works calls people to fear and tremble before Him rather than irreverently treat what He has declared sacred.
