Job 38:28

Hath the rain a father? or who hath begotten the drops of dew?

This question stands among God's questions in Job 38-40, given as the Word of God to be received instead of the fallacies of men. By asking about the origin of rain and dew, it points to workings of nature that hold mysteries beyond human understanding. It shows that man took no part in creating the world or anything that has the breath of life, because man was made last. It upholds that man was created after the image of God and Christ. It teaches that human wisdom is limited, and that both God's unrevealed power and what He makes known call for faith.
