Job 39:4

Their young ones are in good liking, they grow up with corn; they go forth, and return not unto them.

The young growing strong apart from human care is set within God's own recounting of His works of creation, demonstrating that human beings took no part in making the world or its living creatures. It stands among a succession of searching questions about the natural order, whose purpose is to show that God's works hold mysteries that lie beyond human comprehension. By confronting the mind with what it cannot explain, it lays bare the limits of human wisdom and directs the learner to trust in God.
