A Rearing War Horse and Wild Donkeys in the Desertby emmanuel_higgins

Job 39:6

Whose house I have made the wilderness, and the barren land his dwellings.

The verse stands among God's searching questions about the natural world, set to confront human ignorance with the vastness of divine wisdom. It points to a mystery in nature, the wild ass assigned the wilderness and the barren land for its house and dwelling, which man did not ordain and cannot fully explain. By that mystery it exposes the narrow limits of human understanding and magnifies the wisdom of God that ordered such a provision.
