Job died old, at an advanced age, after he had remained faithful through suffering and God had rewarded him. In His own time God lifted him up and gave him more favor than he had before. His suffering did not mean that God had forsaken or abandoned him. His afflictions were not proof that he had lived sinfully or that he deserved punishment. His later restoration shows that outward appearances cannot reveal the full purpose of God's care.
