Job 5:19

He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee.

The six and the seven are not a literal limit but trouble after trouble, repeated afflictions coming in succession.
Through each trouble there is deliverance, so that evil is not allowed to finally touch or overcome, and ultimate harm is prevented.
Trial is for benefit, so divine correction is not to be despised and rebuke is not to cause fainting, for happy is the one whom God corrects, since He makes sore and binds up and wounds and His hands make whole.

Even famine is included in the promise, so famine and suffering do not separate from God, for though His people may suffer He sustains and redeems them.
Many meet tribulation as Jacob did, mistaking it for the hand of an enemy and wrestling blindly in darkness until strength is spent without comfort or deliverance, when yielding helpless and weeping would allow the divine touch to reveal love contending for blessing to be received.
Even amid suffering God brings healing and reveals His presence, coming to every stricken one with healing ministry to brighten a life of bereavement, pain, and suffering with precious revealings of His presence.
