Job is calling his friends to turn back and think again about the judgment they have passed on him. They are not to deal unjustly with him by treating him as a guilty man. They are not to make his self-defense itself into wrongdoing. His righteousness and integrity still stand firm in this matter.
He knew that he was upright even though he could not understand God's dealings with him. His suffering did not mean that he was under God's displeasure. He did not charge God foolishly.
