Job 7:11
Therefore I will not refrain my mouth; I will speak in the anguish of my spirit; I will complain in the bitterness of my soul. Therefore I will not refrain my mouth; I will speak in the anguish of my spirit; I will complain in the bitterness of my soul.
In his affliction and darkness he would not restrain his mouth but spoke openly, voicing his grief rather than holding it in. His words came from anguish of spirit and bitterness of soul, out of deep inward anguish and bitterness. This complaint belonged to his despair and longing for death, when he wished for death and said he did not want to go on living. His despair did not end in death, for he was shown hope for the future and rose to trust in God's mercy and saving power.
