Scenes From the Book of Joelby KalebRosendahl

Joel 1:19

O LORD, to thee will I cry: for the fire hath devoured the pastures of the wilderness, and the flame hath burned all the trees of the field.

The verse portrays fire devouring the pastures of the wilderness. Its flame burns all the trees of the field. Amid this devastation a cry is made to the Lord. It is a prophecy of the condition of the world just before the second coming, describing the fearful condition of the earth under the final plagues.

In that time drought leaves the rivers dry. In that time the sun scorches people with great heat, and the vegetation and water of the land are devastated. This devastation occurs just before God's people are delivered.
