The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining.
The darkening of sun and moon and withdrawing of the shining of the stars belongs to the foretold time of Joel 3:9-16 when God's voice shakes the heavens and the earth in wrath upon the persecutors who enforce the sign or mark of the beast. That shaking marks the coming of God's wrath upon those enforcers of the beast's mark. Those who turned away from what the Lord spoke when His voice shook the earth, and who rejected His warning, will then confess their fatal error. In that same hour they will realize the importance of the Sabbath as the seal of the living God.
