John 10:35

If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture can not be broken;

The saying was spoken when the Jewish leaders were attempting to stone Jesus on a charge of blasphemy. Those to whom the word of God came are called gods in Scripture. That Scripture cannot be broken, set aside, or invalidated. Jesus appealed to that scriptural usage to show there was no blasphemy in His calling Himself the Son of God as the One whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world.

His works of mercy and holy teaching gave no support to the accusations that He was a Sabbath-breaker or a blasphemer. His works further testify that the Father is in Him and He is in the Father.
