Jesus remained beyond the Jordan, staying in the district where John had first baptized, when many came to faith in Him there. Many of the people in that place believed on Him. They discerned that everything John had testified concerning Him was true, even though John himself had done no miracle. Their response revealed the mark of true sheep, who hear and answer the voice of the Shepherd.
