Joshua 1:11
Pass through the host, and command the people, saying, Prepare you victuals; for within three days ye shall pass over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land, which the LORD your God giveth you to possess it. Pass through the host, and command the people, saying, Prepare you victuals; for within three days ye shall pass over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land, which the LORD your God giveth you to possess it.
Joshua sent word through the host commanding the people to prepare provisions for themselves. The stated reason was that within three days they would pass over the Jordan. They were to go in to enter and possess the land which the Lord their God was giving them to possess. The command at the same time mobilized the men of war and made them ready to go into battle for the coming conquest.
