Joshua 10:14

The verse belongs to the account of Israel's dealings with the Gibeonites, whose treaty with Israel led to the events of Joshua 10. It records that God answered Joshua's prayer by causing the sun and moon to remain in place, extending daylight until Israel had defeated its enemies. In that same intervention it declares that the Lord fought for Israel by giving the entire enemy host into Joshua's hand. It states that there was no day like it before or after, in that the Lord heeded the voice of a man.
