Joshua 10:25
And Joshua said unto them, Fear not, nor be dismayed, be strong and of good courage: for thus shall the LORD do to all your enemies against whom ye fight. The charge to be unafraid, undismayed, strong and courageous belongs to the history of Israel's dealings with the Gibeonites. That history began when the Gibeonites obtained a covenant of peace by deceiving Israel's leaders. The binding treaty then obligated Israel to protect Gibeon when its neighbors attacked it for making peace. The assurance that the Lord would do the same to all the enemies Israel fought was spoken in the midst of fulfilling that obligation.
