Joshua Leads His Army Through the HillsBible World

Joshua 10:8

And the LORD said unto Joshua, Fear them not: for I have delivered them into thine hand; there shall not a man of them stand before thee.

The divine word came as encouragement for Joshua to march to the relief of Gibeon against the confederated kings, and he moved forward only after seeking counsel from God. It was a direct promise of victory to Israel, declaring that the enemy kings would be delivered into his hand and that not one of them would be able to stand before him. That assurance upheld him as he went to defend the Gibeonites because they had submitted themselves to Israel and had accepted the worship of God.
