Joshua 11:17
Even from the mount Halak, that goeth up to Seir, even unto Baal-gad in the valley of Lebanon under mount Hermon: and all their kings he took, and smote them, and slew them. Even from the mount Halak, that goeth up to Seir, even unto Baal-gad in the valley of Lebanon under mount Hermon: and all their kings he took, and smote them, and slew them.
The line drawn from Mount Halak in the south to Baal-gad in the valley of Lebanon under Mount Hermon in the north marks the full southern to northern reach of Joshua's conquest. Mount Halak, rising toward Seir, stands as the southern limit, while Baal-gad near Hermon stands as the northern limit of the ground brought under Israel's control. Within those bounds Joshua took all their kings, smote them, and slew them, leaving no rival power standing. That work closed several years of warfare with Joshua as master of the land, and the land rested from war.
