Joshua 13:19

And Kirjathaim, and Sibmah, and Zareth-shahar in the mount of the valley,

And Kirjathaim, and Sibmah, and Zareth-shahar in the mount of the valley are named among the accurately described properties in the geographical record of the land distributed among the tribes. It is part of the account of dividing and settling the Promised Land of Canaan among Israel's tribes. It belongs to the account of the land of Reuben east of the Jordan, and Salt lies within that Reubenite territory on the route toward Jericho and Jerusalem. In the sequence under Joshua, the dividing of the land comes after the crossing of the Jordan, the taking of Jericho, the sin of Achan and the defeat at Ai, and the sun and the moon obeying Joshua, and before the last words of Joshua. The dividing of the land belongs among the stories of Israel from the building of the tabernacle to Samuel to be told to children in a simple, connected form with practical moral lessons.
