Joshua 15:34

And Zanoah, and En-gannim, Tappuah, and Enam,

Joshua 15:34 stands in the first of the twelve historical books, which is named for Joshua, was partly written by him, and records the history of the chosen people as a nation from their first occupation of the land of Canaan to the return from the captivity. The conquering of the Canaanites and division of the land among Israel to which it belongs follows Achan's sin and its fearful consequences. Within that history it stands in chapters 13 to 22, which contain the distribution of the land and are based on written documents in which the property was accurately described. It also belongs to the account in chapters 11 to 21 of the division and settling of the Promised Land among the tribes. That account of division and settling shows the lack of faith and slowness of the tribes, yet it closes with the assurance that God wrought all that He had promised and none of His good words failed.
