Joshua 15:52

Arab, and Dumah, and Eshean,

Arab, Dumah and Eshean are three of the eleven cities in the mountains that fell by lot to the tribe of Judah. This naming belongs to the account of the conquering of the Canaanites and the dividing and settling of the Promised Land among the tribes.

That dividing and settling is set out in Joshua 11-21, which exposes Israel's lack of faith and slowness in possessing the land, yet closes with the truth that God fulfilled every good thing He had promised and none of His word failed. In order it comes after the lesson of Achan's sin and its fearful consequences.
