Joshua 18:27

And Rekem, and Irpeel, and Taralah,

Rekem, Irpeel, and Taralah are named as part of the list defining the inheritance of Benjamin in Canaan. That inheritance lay within the large portion allotted to Judah, so that the territory of Benjamin adjoined the territory of Judah. Jerusalem was in the territory of Benjamin.

The verse belongs to the geographical record of the division of Canaan in Joshua 13-22, which gives the account of the distribution of the land drawn from written documents in which the property was accurately described. As part of the book of Joshua, the first of the twelve historical books recording Israel's history as a nation from the first occupation of Canaan to the return from the captivity, it covers the twenty-five-year period of the conquest and division of Canaan and the typical rest in that land that foreshadowed the complete rest of God's people in heaven.
