The pledge of life for life and of kind and true dealing belongs to the account of Rahab. She was a Canaanite. She turned away from idolatry to worship the true God. In doing so she was to join Israel, God's chosen people. She stands among those who were drawn to God through the revelation of His character and through the teaching of the sacrificial service.
