Joshua 24:30
And they buried him in the border of his inheritance in Timnath-serah, which is in mount Ephraim, on the north side of the hill of Gaash. And they buried him in the border of his inheritance in Timnath-serah, which is in mount Ephraim, on the north side of the hill of Gaash.
Joshua was buried within the border of his own inheritance at Timnath-serah in Mount Ephraim, on the north side of the hill of Gaash. The surrounding passage in Joshua 24:25-30 presents both his home and his burial. Shechem stands associated with him as a place of prominence.
The verse belongs to the record of Joshua's last days, to which the story in Judges 1 and 2 reverts. His death came at the age of 110, and his faithful life left a lasting impression on his generation.
