Judges 10:11
And the LORD said unto the children of Israel, Did not I deliver you from the Egyptians, and from the Amorites, from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines? And the LORD said unto the children of Israel, Did not I deliver you from the Egyptians, and from the Amorites, from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines?
The Lord spoke these words as His answer when Israel cried out under Ammonite oppression, confessing that they had forsaken Him and served Baalim. The question recalls His repeated deliverances of them from the Egyptians, and from the Amorites, from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines. Those past rescues displayed His goodness and patience and pity toward them.
Despite those rescues they had forsaken Him and served other gods. The reminder exposes their ingratitude and apostasy, setting His faithfulness against their unfaithfulness. Their sin was more grievous because it was committed despite His care. He set His past deliverances against their forsaking Him to serve other gods as reason for refusing to deliver them again and sending them to the gods they had chosen.
