Judges 10:12

The Zidonians also, and the Amalekites, and the Maonites, did oppress you; and ye cried to me, and I delivered you out of their hand.

The verse is God's answer to Israel's cry while oppressed by the Ammonites, in which He recounts how He had delivered them in the past. The deliverances He recalls are rescue from the Egyptians, Amorites, Ammonites, Philistines, Zidonians, Amalekites, and Maonites. Those repeated rescues display His goodness, patience, and pity toward Israel. After being repeatedly rescued, Israel forsook Him and served Baalim and other false gods.

Because of that repeated unfaithfulness He declared He would deliver them no more and told them to go cry to the gods they had chosen. The exchange shows that true confession is definite and specific, acknowledging forsaking God and serving false gods. Such confession must be carried out in harmony with prayer by putting away strange gods and serving the Lord. God has a great heart of love that is grieved by Israel's misery.
