Judges 10:7
And the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel, and he sold them into the hands of the Philistines, and into the hands of the children of Ammon. And the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel, and he sold them into the hands of the Philistines, and into the hands of the children of Ammon.
Israel's turning away was followed by the Lord's anger burning hot against the nation, and by His selling them into the hands of the Philistines and into the hands of the Ammonites. That selling brought suffering, oppression, and servitude upon them. This record of backsliding and its consequences belongs to the wider account of Israel's return to God, forgiveness, and deliverance.
